Review:
This is the big one for jewelry and especially loose stones.
Offering 3 days of browsing, haggling, and eye popping sparklers - more
sparklers than the Fourth of July ! This one takes place in the Qwest Field
Event center which means LOTS of space. Their brochure specifies about 135
vendors and they supply you a map at the door. If you have a wedding or an
anniversary or other special occasion in your future this is a great place
to visit.
As I've mentioned before, this show is all about jewelry and I'm not. I'm
into rock hounding but it is fun just to see how many times my eyes fall out
of my head. There are 3 or 4 (count 'em!) vendors featuring minerals in
their more raw format, I saw cool, large, raw topaz, tourmaline, opal and
others.
There's free jewelry cleaning available. No strollers, no photography, and
nothing to keep the kids interested. A "trade room" is available to
wholesalers which I did not see.
my favorite vendor this show: S & S gems, Inc. - beautiful stones and
friendly people
