Review:

This is a small show that is very family oriented. It takes place in the National Guard Armory gymnasium and pretty much fills it up - there were 2-300 people there on the Saturday afternoon when I visited. About 18 vendors offer a little of everything: gems, jewelry, crystals, fossils, rocks (rough, polished and cut), books, lapidary tools, and some beads. Admission is free and includes a raffle ticket and $1 will buy you another. There was an ongoing silent auction as well as a few demonstrations (faceting, jewelry making etc). Approx 18 display cases are filled with the various rock and gem interests of the club members including several by young teenagers that would make an adult envious.  There are things to keep the kids happy and busy - an area set aside for them with their own silent auction and an art and crafts section. A small cafe is also on the premises.
