Review:

A small club show. The Fruitland Grange is a large barn style building that literally overflows with rocks, gems, minerals, crystals, beads and objects d'art. The upper floor is filled with 40 cabinets showcasing club member collections. The upper floor also includes an area to keep the kids busy: fossil and gem stone "dig", the rock spinner, and the opportunity to make a "rock critter"!  There are lots of demonstrations: cabochon making, bead word, cutting, and particularly fascinating was the woman showing how she makes "gem trees". Also worth a view is the 7 foot tall model of the Space Needle made entirely from cut minerals.  The lower floor of the grange is devoted to vendors (probably around 20) with overflow filling the space outside the hall.
